What is lisinopril?
It belongs to a group of drugs called angiotensin converting enzyme in short it is called as ACE inhibitors. It is mainly used to treat hypertension i.e very high blood pressure, and to treat heart attack patients to improve their survival duration, also to the patients of heart failure. Used to treat diabetes patients too.

Lisinopril is considered as a prescription drug, you should not take it yourself without getting properly prescribed from a doctor. There is chances of causing birth defects in baby if you take lisinopril while your pregnancy. Also it is best to avoid drinking alcohol during the medication of lininopril, because it will further reduce your blood pressure which leads to major side effects of lisinopril. The major lisinopril side effects are the following,
Dark urine – You may notice the color change in urine compared to the usual color.
Difficulty in breathing as well as more difficulty in swallowing food and drinking liquid items.
Itching is another major side effect of lisinopril which leads to the color change of your skin, for some people it will turn into yellow color which is unusual.
Suddenly there will be a weight gain in your body.
Feeling stomach pain frequently.
Eyes becoming yellow color, like jaundice symptoms.
Pain in the chest.
Dizziness and fainting, sometimes lightheadedness.
Diarrhea and your tongue losing taste.
Feeling drowsiness while doing some work along with severe tiredness and headache.
Eye vision becoming blurred, often getting cramps in muscle.
Fainting frequently or blackouts.
Sexual problems and increased sensitivity in insulin, also severe problems with liver.
Fever, dry cough and pain in the joints are some lesser side effects of lisinopril.
